way to go! To continue with out a pay raise in 2 years, discontinuance of stipends, and a lack of respect is baffling. Nevertheless, we understand that we all must make sacrifices in these tough economic times. But for a few people to say that the work day will be extended for teachers is totally disrespectful! This decision could take time away from families, increase daycare expenses, and working for free . . . I might have been born in the day but it wasn't yesterday!
ReplyDeleteWhat about the teachers who attend college classes that begin at 4:30 p.m.? What about the teachers that have 2nd jobs because we haven't had a raise in two years - except in our insurance premiums?
